Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive global security strategy, policies, and standards to protect company personnel, assets, intellectual property, and brand reputation across all international locations.
- Lead the global crisis management and emergency response programs, including the development of incident response plans and conducting regular drills and simulations to ensure organizational readiness for a wide range of critical incidents.
- Oversee the entire global physical security program, including setting standards for the design, implementation, and maintenance of access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion detection systems for all corporate facilities.
- Direct and manage the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to ensure 24/7 monitoring, analysis, and response to security incidents and emerging threats on a worldwide scale.
- Establish and lead a robust global travel security program to ensure the safety of all employees traveling for business, including pre-travel briefings, risk assessments, and real-time traveler tracking and support.
- Direct and oversee complex, sensitive internal and external investigations related to security breaches, theft, workplace violence, and other corporate policy violations, ensuring they are conducted with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Build and maintain a sophisticated threat intelligence program to proactively identify, analyze, and disseminate information on geopolitical instability, terrorism, crime trends, and other potential threats to the organization's operations and personnel.
- Manage the executive protection program, conducting risk assessments and coordinating protective details for senior executives and board members during daily activities, special events, and international travel.
- Develop and manage the global security budget, ensuring fiscally responsible allocation of resources to meet strategic objectives and mitigate identified risks effectively.
- Conduct regular and thorough security risk assessments of all company facilities and operations globally, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Manage relationships and contracts with third-party security vendors, including guard services, alarm monitoring companies, and security consultants, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with company standards.
- Design and implement comprehensive security awareness and training programs for all employees, covering topics such as workplace violence prevention, active shooter response, and travel safety.
- Serve as the primary security advisor to executive leadership, providing timely and concise briefings on the global threat landscape, security incidents, and the status of strategic security initiatives.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement, intelligence, and emergency services agencies to support protective intelligence and response efforts.
- Ensure all security programs and operations are in compliance with local, national, and international regulations, including data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) as they relate to security systems.
- Lead security planning and operations for major corporate events, conferences, and high-level meetings, both domestically and internationally.
- Drive the continuous improvement of security technologies and processes, evaluating and implementing new solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Oversee the supply chain security program, working with logistics and procurement teams to mitigate risks of theft, diversion, and counterfeiting.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and metrics on security incidents, program effectiveness, and risk levels to the executive team and the Board of Directors.

Educational Background

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range:
- 10-15+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, federal law enforcement, military, or intelligence, including at least 5-7 years in a senior management role with international responsibilities.

- Direct experience managing security operations and teams across multiple global regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, AMER) is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience building a global security program from the ground up or leading a significant transformation of an existing function.
