Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term global supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overarching business goals, growth targets, and market expansion plans.
- Direct the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to create a single, consensus-based operating plan that balances demand, supply, and financial objectives.
- Design, manage, and optimize the global logistics and distribution network, including the selection and performance management of 3PLs, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Establish and govern a global inventory management policy, setting strategic targets for safety stock, cycle stock, and in-transit inventory to optimize working capital and service levels.
- Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement function, building and maintaining strong relationships with key global suppliers and negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Implement robust risk management and business continuity programs to identify, assess, and mitigate potential disruptions from geopolitical events, natural disasters, or supplier failures.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by deploying Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes across the supply chain.
- Champion the selection and implementation of advanced supply chain technologies, including ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and planning software, to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with all international trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export requirements in all operating regions to avoid penalties and delays.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a geographically dispersed supply chain team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance, and results-oriented culture.
- Own the global supply chain budget, overseeing cost-to-serve analysis, freight spend, and warehousing costs to deliver on financial and operational cost-saving targets.
- Establish, monitor, and report on a balanced scorecard of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF), inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and total landed cost.
- Collaborate intimately with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure supply chain readiness for product launches, including supplier qualification, capacity planning, and logistics setup.
- Oversee and refine the global demand forecasting process, working closely with sales and marketing teams to improve accuracy and reduce forecast-to-plan variance.
- Conduct regular network- M- modeling and analysis to evaluate and reconfigure the supply chain footprint (e.g., location of DCs, manufacturing sites) for optimal service and cost.
