Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Leads the daily work of the grounds crew, organizing and delegating tasks such as mowing, course setup, and bunker maintenance to ensure efficient and timely completion of the agronomic plan.
Provides hands-on training to new and existing team members on the safe and proper operation of all turf equipment, from walk-mowers and utility vehicles to specialized aerifiers and topdressers.

Manages and monitors the golf course irrigation system, making daily adjustments based on weather and turf conditions, performing sprinkler head repairs, and troubleshooting system faults.

Performs and oversees the precise application of fertilizers and plant protectants, ensuring all spreading and spraying equipment is accurately calibrated for targeted and responsible use.

Manages the inventory of essential maintenance supplies, including sand, seed, fertilizer, and tools, and communicates replenishment needs to management.
Enforces all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and facilitates regular "tailgate" safety meetings with the crew.
Supervises all aspects of landscape and ornamental bed maintenance, including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching, to enhance the overall beauty of the property.

Secondary Functions
