Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of all golf tournaments, including member events, corporate outings, and charity fundraisers, from conceptualization and planning through execution and post-event analysis.
- Develop, manage, and meticulously track tournament budgets, ensuring events meet or exceed profitability targets through effective cost control and revenue generation.
- Act as the primary liaison between all club departments, including Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, and Agronomy, to ensure synchronized and seamless tournament execution.
- Drive tournament sales by identifying leads, creating compelling proposals, conducting site visits, and closing contracts for corporate and charity events.
- Secure, cultivate, and manage relationships with tournament sponsors, ensuring all contractual obligations for branding, activation, and hospitality are exceeded.
- Direct all on-site tournament logistics, including player registration, welcome gifts, pairings, cart staging, rules sheets, scoring, and awards ceremonies.
- Design and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to maximize tournament participation and elevate the event's profile.
- Champion an exceptional guest experience, proactively addressing needs and resolving issues to ensure the highest level of satisfaction for all players, sponsors, and attendees.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure high-quality products and services at competitive prices.
- Master and utilize golf tournament management software (e.g., Golf Genius, BlueGolf) for player communication, live scoring, pairings, and results.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of event staff and volunteers, delegating tasks effectively to ensure operational excellence on event days.
- Ensure strict adherence to USGA Rules of Golf, local rules, and club policies, and provide clear rulings and guidance to participants as needed.
- Prepare and present detailed post-event reports for stakeholders, including financial performance summaries, participant feedback, and strategic recommendations for future improvements.
- Develop innovative tournament formats, on-course contests, and value-added experiences to differentiate our offerings and enhance player engagement.
- Manage the procurement, inventory, and distribution of all tournament-related merchandise, prizes, awards, and tee gifts.

- Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional and club committees to develop and maintain a balanced and comprehensive annual event calendar.

- Oversee the fulfillment of on-course sponsor branding and signage, conducting pre-event walkthroughs to guarantee accurate and high-impact placement.
