Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Diligently receive incoming shipments, methodically unpacking and visually inspecting goods for damage or defects, and meticulously verifying them against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Skillfully operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks, to safely move, stack, and organize products within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick customer orders from various storage locations using an RF scanner or pick list, ensuring the correct product, quantity, and lot number are selected every time.
- Carefully prepare and pack orders for shipment, selecting appropriate packing materials to prevent damage and ensuring all items are secure for transit.
- Execute the loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and shipping containers, employing safe lifting techniques and proper equipment usage to maximize efficiency and prevent injury.
- Maintain meticulous inventory records by using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process all product movements, including receiving, put-away, transfers, and shipments.
- Sort and systematically place materials or items onto racks, shelves, or into bins according to predetermined sequences like product code, size, or expiration date.
- Generate and apply all necessary shipping documentation, including labels, packing slips, and bills of lading, ensuring full compliance with carrier and customer requirements.
- Perform regular quality control checks on outbound orders to guarantee they meet our high standards for accuracy, presentation, and completeness.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and actively participate in full physical inventory audits to help maintain an exceptionally high level of inventory accuracy.
- Uphold a culture of safety by consistently adhering to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure the work area is kept in a clean, orderly, and safe condition at all times, contributing to a more efficient and hazard-free environment.
- Efficiently stage and consolidate completed orders in the designated shipping zones, organizing them by carrier, destination, or delivery route.
- Securely wrap and band pallets, ensuring they are stable and well-protected for movement within the facility and for final shipment.
- Process customer returns, carefully inspecting the condition of the merchandise and routing it to the correct disposition, whether back to stock, for refurbishment, or disposal.
Secondary Functions
- Participate actively in daily team meetings to discuss performance metrics, safety topics, and process improvement opportunities.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, patiently guiding them on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance and daily safety checks on material handling equipment, reporting any faults or service needs to the maintenance department promptly.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify and troubleshoot operational issues, contributing to effective problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels for key supplies, such as boxes, tape, and packing materials, and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Handle the sorting and disposal of waste materials like cardboard, shrink wrap, and dunnage in an organized and environmentally conscious manner.

- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operation: Proficiency and certification in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse machinery.
- RF Scanner Proficiency: Experience using handheld RF scanning devices to manage inventory, pick orders, and process transactions.
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Familiarity with using WMS software to track inventory, look up product locations, and complete tasks.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Ability to use a computer for data entry, printing labels, and communicating via email.
