Primary Functions

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on legislative proposals, public policies, and government programs to evaluate their potential economic, social, and operational impacts.

  • Assist in the development, review, and management of departmental or agency budgets, including analyzing budget proposals, forecasting expenditures, and tracking financial performance.
  • Review and assess grant applications, contract proposals, and procurement documents to ensure they comply with government regulations and align with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and robust metrics to continuously monitor program outcomes and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on specific policy domains, such as housing, transportation, public health, criminal justice, or environmental regulation.
  • Collaborate closely with legal counsel to interpret statutory language and ensure that policy recommendations and program designs are legally sound and defensible.
