Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Develop and refine architectural designs under the direct supervision of a Project Architect or Senior Designer, contributing to all project phases from schematic design to design development.
Produce highly detailed and accurate architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using Revit and AutoCAD.
Create compelling 3D models, visualizations, and renderings for internal design reviews, client presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
Assist in the preparation of comprehensive construction document sets, ensuring coordination with all engineering disciplines (structural, MEP, civil).
Participate in the development of design presentations, reports, and other project deliverables, effectively communicating design intent.
Research and select appropriate building materials, finishes, and systems, and assist in maintaining the firm's physical and digital material library.
Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards (ADA), and other legal requirements.
Collaborate closely with the project team to resolve design issues and ensure a cohesive and integrated design solution.
Revise drawings and models based on feedback from senior staff, clients, and consultant teams, demonstrating a responsive and iterative approach.
Contribute to the development of project specifications by researching and documenting material and product requirements.
Attend project meetings, take detailed minutes, and effectively communicate key information and action items to the wider team.
Support the team in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and reviewing submittals during the construction administration phase.
Participate in site visits to observe construction progress, assist in documenting site conditions, and verify compliance with construction documents.

Help prepare and assemble materials and applications for planning, zoning, and building permit submissions.

Secondary Functions

Assist in conducting precedent studies and programmatic research to inform the early stages of the design process.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

BIM & CAD Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential, with a strong ability to model complex geometries, manage families, and produce construction documents. Competency in AutoCAD is also required.
3D Modeling & Visualization: Expertise in 3D modeling software such as Rhino, SketchUp, and visualization tools like V-Ray, Enscape, or Lumion to create photorealistic renderings and animations.
