Primary Functions

Execute detailed daily watering and irrigation schedules for a wide variety of plant species, meticulously adjusting frequency and volume based on environmental readings, soil moisture levels, and specific plant life-cycle stages.

Conduct regular pruning, pinching, and de-leafing of plants to promote healthy growth, improve air circulation, manage plant size and shape, and increase flower or fruit production.
Monitor and operate environmental control systems, including vents, fans, shade cloths, and heating systems, to maintain prescribed temperature, humidity, and light levels.
Meticulously clean and sanitize greenhouse benches, floors, tools, and equipment to prevent the spread of pathogens and maintain a sterile growing environment.
Assist in the setup and takedown of experiments or production cycles, carefully following layouts and protocols provided by research or management staff.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, including watering schedules, fertilizer applications, pest observations, and plant growth metrics, using logbooks or digital software.
Harvest crops or collect plant materials according to quality standards and timelines, handling the finished product with care to preserve quality for sale or research.
