Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Unload merchandise from delivery trucks, using equipment such as pallet jacks, U-boats, and hand trucks to safely and efficiently move inventory to designated backroom or sales floor locations.
Systematically break down pallets and sort products by department, aisle, and category to streamline the stocking process and maintain backroom organization.
Replenish shelves, displays, and coolers with products from the stockroom, ensuring all items are placed in their correct locations according to the store's planogram.
Implement the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) rotation method for all perishable and date-sensitive products to minimize spoilage and ensure product freshness for customers.
Perform "facing" duties by pulling products to the front of the shelf and arranging them in a neat, uniform manner to create a visually appealing and fully-stocked appearance.
Verify pricing accuracy by checking shelf tags against product UPCs and report any discrepancies to the department or store management for correction.
Proactively monitor shelf inventory levels throughout a shift, identifying and restocking low-stock or out-of-stock items to maximize product availability.
Assist in building and maintaining promotional displays, endcaps, and special sale sections, ensuring they are well-stocked and correctly signed.
Remove damaged, expired, or discontinued items from the shelves according to company policy, and process them for claims, disposal, or return.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing aisles of cardboard, plastic wrap, and other debris, and promptly addressing any spills or hazards.
