Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Execute comprehensive turf management programs, including precision mowing, edging along walkways and curbs, and string trimming to maintain a consistently neat and professional appearance.
Operate a wide range of powered grounds maintenance equipment such as commercial-grade mowers, tractors with attachments, aerators, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and snow removal machinery.
Perform seasonal planting, cultivation, and maintenance of flower beds, trees, and shrubs, ensuring their health, proper growth, and aesthetic contribution to the landscape.
Implement integrated pest and weed management strategies, including the safe and compliant application of herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides as necessary.
Diagnose and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on irrigation systems, including fixing leaks, replacing sprinkler heads, and adjusting watering schedules for optimal water conservation.
Conduct regular pruning of trees, shrubs, and hedges to promote healthy growth, maintain desired shapes, and ensure clearance for pedestrians and vehicles.
Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and mulch to turf and garden beds according to seasonal schedules and soil health requirements.
Ensure all pathways, parking lots, and hardscape surfaces are kept clear of debris, leaves, and other potential hazards.
Perform snow and ice removal operations during winter months, including plowing, shoveling, and applying de-icing agents to ensure safe access to all facilities.
