Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Assume full P&L ownership and accountability for the group, driving revenue growth and managing operational budgets to ensure maximum profitability and long-term financial health.
  • Develop, communicate, and execute a comprehensive, forward-looking strategy for your group that aligns with the company's broader mission and strategic pillars.
  • Provide inspirational leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Directors and their respective departments, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary business owner for the group, making critical decisions on resource allocation, strategic investments, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead the annual and quarterly strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, presenting detailed plans and business cases to the executive leadership team.
  • Champion a culture of innovation by identifying new market opportunities, emerging trends, and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
  • Oversee the operational excellence of your departments, implementing scalable processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder and decision-maker in the development and launch of new products, services, or major initiatives within your domain.
  • Define and meticulously track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the entire group, reporting on progress to C-level executives.
  • Act as the senior point of escalation for high-stakes client relationships or critical partnership negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term success.
  • Direct talent management and succession planning efforts within your group, actively identifying and developing the next generation of leaders.
  • Drive complex, large-scale transformation projects, guiding the team through organizational change while maintaining morale and productivity.
  • Represent the company and your group as a thought leader at industry conferences, in publications, and with key external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities within the group comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, mitigating potential risks to the business.
  • Lead M&A due diligence and integration planning for potential acquisitions that fall within your group's strategic scope.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market intelligence to proactively adjust strategy and capitalize on opportunities or neutralize threats.
  • Cultivate a customer-centric mindset throughout the group, ensuring that all strategic decisions are grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs and a desire to enhance their experience.
  • Guide the organizational structure of your group, making strategic decisions on team design, headcount, and roles to optimize for future growth.
  • Present regular, high-impact business reviews to the board and executive committee, clearly articulating performance, challenges, and the strategic path forward.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • P&L Management & Financial Acumen: Deep experience owning a budget, forecasting, and driving financial results.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and implement long-range business plans.
  • Data Analysis & Business Intelligence: Proficiency in using data to inform decisions, analyze trends, and measure performance. Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Operational Excellence: Expertise in process optimization, resource allocation, and scaling operations.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements

  • Direct experience managing a P&L of significant size and complexity.
  • A demonstrable track record of scaling a business unit or department and successfully leading large-scale strategic initiatives from conception to completion.
