Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions

- Conduct rigorous in-process and final quality control inspections on all machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as digital calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, and custom templates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues in real-time, diagnosing problems related to programming, tool wear, material inconsistencies, or machine function to minimize waste and downtime.
- Execute detailed hand-sanding and final shaping operations on machined components to achieve specified contours, smooth transitions, and a flawless surface ready for the finishing department.
- Manage and organize a large inventory of cutting tools, fixtures, and jigs required for various production models, ensuring they are in good condition and readily accessible.
- Read, comprehend, and execute G-code and M-code programs, with the ability to perform minor edits at the machine control to optimize tool paths or adjust for material variations.
- Perform critical fretboard manufacturing tasks, including precision fret slotting and radius sanding, to ensure accurate intonation and superior playability.
- Operate traditional woodworking equipment, such as table saws, band saws, jointers, and planers, for the initial preparation and dimensioning of raw lumber stock.
