Primary Functions
- Actively patrol all areas of the gym, including workout floors, locker rooms, common areas, and parking lots, to establish a visible security presence and deter misconduct.

- Thoroughly investigate and document all security incidents, accidents, and member complaints by creating detailed, accurate, and objective incident reports for management review.
- Enforce all gym rules, regulations, and codes of conduct in a firm, polite, and consistent manner to ensure a fair and safe experience for all patrons.
- Conduct comprehensive opening and closing security procedures, including securing all access points, arming and disarming alarm systems, and performing final walk-throughs.
- Identify and promptly report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or malfunctioning equipment (e.g., wet floors, broken machines, faulty lighting) to the appropriate department.
- Provide a welcoming and professional point of contact for members and guests, answering questions and providing directions with a strong customer service focus.
- Manage the facility's lost and found program by logging, securing, and organizing misplaced items and assisting members in recovering their property.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services during critical incidents, providing them with necessary information and access.
- Escort members and employees to their vehicles upon request, particularly during late evening hours, to ensure their personal safety.
- Respond immediately to facility alarms, conducting a swift and thorough investigation to determine the cause and reset systems as necessary.
- Perform regular and random checks of emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and other life-safety equipment to ensure they are functional and accessible.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all security incidents, investigations, and personal information of members and staff.
- Assist with crowd control and logistics during special gym events, promotions, or periods of unusually high member traffic.
- Remain constantly vigilant and observant of the facility's environment, recognizing and reporting suspicious behavior or activities that deviate from the norm.
- Operate and maintain a daily security log, documenting all patrols, observations, and notable activities that occur during a shift.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of security protocols and emergency response plans by providing practical feedback to management.
- Politely address and correct unsafe workout practices observed on the gym floor, educating members on proper equipment use and gym etiquette to prevent injuries.
