Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform in-depth client consultations to assess hair type, scalp condition, and lifestyle to recommend the most suitable and healthy braiding options.
- Expertly execute a comprehensive range of braiding and twisting techniques, including but not limited to box braids, knotless braids, cornrows, feed-in braids, Senegalese twists, crochet styles, and faux locs.
- Provide pre-styling services, including shampooing, deep conditioning, detangling, and blow-drying, to properly prepare the client's natural hair for braiding.
- Apply precise, clean, and aesthetically pleasing parting to create a flawless foundation for all braided hairstyles.
- Advise clients on proper at-home care and maintenance routines to maximize the longevity of their style and promote the health of their natural hair and scalp.
- Build and maintain a loyal clientele through exceptional artistry, consistent results, and superior customer service.
- Maintain a visually appealing and professional portfolio of your work, taking high-quality photos and videos for use on social media and other marketing channels.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, continuously learning new techniques, styles, and product innovations to offer clients the latest looks.
