Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Provide an exceptional client experience through professional and friendly shampooing, conditioning, and relaxing scalp massages tailored to individual client needs.
- Assist senior stylists with a full range of services, including meticulously mixing color formulas, preparing foils, and providing hands-on support during color and chemical treatment applications.
- Prepare clients for their services by expertly gowning, detangling hair, and ensuring they are comfortable and ready for their appointment with the stylist.
- Perform high-quality blowouts and basic styling as directed by senior stylists, providing a fantastic opportunity to build your technical proficiency and client-handling skills.

Secondary Functions
- Meticulously maintain the overall cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the salon, including sweeping hair, sanitizing stations and tools, and adhering to all state board regulations.
- Ensure all styling stations are fully stocked with necessary tools, products, and clean towels before, during, and after each client appointment.
- Manage salon laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding towels and capes to maintain a constant, ready supply.
- Assist with front desk and reception operations as needed, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments using salon software, and processing client payments.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for both professional back bar products and retail items, alerting the salon manager when supplies are running low.
- Participate in and contribute to salon opening and closing procedures, ensuring the environment is perfectly prepared for the team and clients.
- Assist with the visual merchandising of the retail area to create attractive, engaging displays that encourage client interest and purchases.
- Support the salon's marketing efforts by assisting with content creation for social media, such as taking before-and-after photos or videos (with client permission).
- Actively participate in all mandatory team meetings and ongoing educational workshops to continuously develop technical skills and stay current with industry trends.
