Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Precisely lay out, measure, and align stencils on various surfaces such as metal, plastic, wood, and concrete according to engineering blueprints and work orders.
Apply paint, ink, or other marking mediums using brushes, rollers, or aerosol cans to create clear, legible, and durable characters, symbols, or designs.
Prepare product surfaces for stenciling by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal adhesion and a high-quality finish.
Select the correct stencils, paints, and application tools for each job based on material specifications and environmental conditions.
Perform visual quality control inspections on all completed work to ensure markings are accurate, complete, and free from defects like smudges, runs, or overspray.
Mix paints and other solutions to achieve the correct color, consistency, and viscosity as required by specific project guidelines.
Operate hand and power tools, such as grinders, sanders, and cleaning equipment, to properly prepare and finish surfaces.
Interpret complex technical drawings, work instructions, and customer specification sheets to determine marking requirements and placement.
Carefully handle and position large or awkwardly shaped components, often with the assistance of hoists or other team members, to access stenciling areas.
Maintain a consistent pace of work to meet production schedules and deadlines without compromising quality or safety.

Secondary Functions
