Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Expertly operate various industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, post-bed, cylinder-arm, and flat-bed machines, to assemble handbag components.
Meticulously stitch and assemble pre-cut leather, canvas, and lining materials according to complex technical packets, patterns, and prototype examples.
Perform high-precision topstitching and decorative stitching, ensuring consistent stitch length, tension, and alignment for a flawless finish.
Attach and reinforce hardware, including zippers, magnetic snaps, clasps, d-rings, and decorative elements, ensuring functionality and durability.
Execute difficult sewing operations on complex shapes and thick materials, skillfully maneuvering gussets, corners, and curved seams.
Prepare and finish leather edges through techniques such as skiving, edge painting, and burnishing to create a clean, professional look.
Assemble and attach straps, handles, and crossbody chains, ensuring they are securely fastened and correctly positioned.
Set and insert pockets, both internal and external, aligning them perfectly with pattern markings.
Monitor machine performance throughout the sewing process, making necessary adjustments to thread tension, needle type, and presser foot pressure for different materials.
