Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Direct and manage all on-site construction activities from project inception and groundbreaking through final inspection and owner turnover, serving as the single point of accountability for field operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and aggressively drive the master project schedule, utilizing critical path methodology to sequence activities, track progress, and proactively mitigate any potential delays.
  • Champion a world-class safety culture on-site by rigorously enforcing the project-specific safety plan, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA and all local safety regulations, and leading daily safety briefings.
  • Implement and oversee a stringent quality control program, conducting regular inspections of all work to ensure compliance with architectural plans, engineering specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Actively manage and coordinate the daily activities of all subcontractors and trades, resolving field conflicts and ensuring seamless workflow and collaboration between different scopes of work.
  • Serve as the lead interpreter of all construction documents, including architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications, and manage the RFI and submittal process to resolve ambiguities.
  • Lead all on-site coordination meetings with foremen, subcontractors, and project staff to align on short-term look-ahead schedules, resource allocation, and daily objectives.
  • Oversee the complex site logistics of a high-rise project, including crane operations, material deliveries, vertical transportation of personnel and materials, and traffic management in an urban setting.
  • Collaborate directly with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Owner's Representatives to provide progress updates, address challenges, and ensure alignment between field execution and project goals.
  • Meticulously document all site activities through daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings, maintaining a comprehensive record of the project's construction.
  • Manage the building inspection process with local authorities and special inspectors, ensuring all required inspections are scheduled, passed, and properly documented.
  • Proactively identify and solve complex construction problems in the field, leveraging technical expertise and creative thinking to keep the project moving forward without compromising quality or safety.
  • Take full ownership of the project closeout phase, including the creation and diligent management of the punch list to ensure all deficiencies are corrected for a successful turnover.
  • Coordinate the installation and commissioning of complex building systems, including high-rise elevators, MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection), and facade/curtain wall systems.
  • Manage on-site labor resources effectively, forecasting manpower needs and working with subcontractors to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and approve subcontractor monthly requisitions based on work completed in the field, providing crucial input for budget and cost-to-complete reporting.
  • Enforce site cleanliness, organization, and adherence to environmental regulations, including the management of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
  • Mentor and develop junior field staff, including Assistant Superintendents and Project Engineers, by providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback.
  • Facilitate the resolution of jurisdictional disputes between trades to prevent work stoppages and maintain a productive and professional job site environment.
  • Review and analyze proposed change orders for constructability, cost, and schedule impacts from a field perspective, providing critical feedback to the project management team.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
