Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive in-home or virtual consultations to deeply understand each homeowner's unique needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Expertly present and demonstrate our suite of products and services, clearly articulating the value proposition and long-term benefits for the customer.
  • Generate accurate, detailed, and customized proposals and quotes based on on-site assessments and customer requirements.
  • Proactively follow up on all company-provided leads in a timely and professional manner to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Skillfully manage the entire sales cycle, from the initial appointment to contract signing, ensuring a seamless and positive customer journey.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through self-generated leads, referrals from satisfied customers, and local networking efforts.
  • Master and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product offerings, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to serve as a true subject matter expert.
  • Diligently and accurately update customer information, sales activities, and appointment notes within the company's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Meet and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by sales management.
  • Effectively address and overcome customer objections, turning potential roadblocks into opportunities to reinforce value and build trust.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with homeowners, positioning yourself as their go-to advisor for future needs and encouraging referrals.
  • Collaborate closely with installation and operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff and that customer expectations are met or exceeded post-sale.
  • Manage a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate homeowners' availability for appointments.
  • Prepare and submit all required sales contracts and paperwork accurately and promptly to ensure efficient order processing.
  • Represent the company with the highest level of professionalism and integrity at all times, embodying our brand values in every interaction.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, sales training, and coaching sessions to continuously refine sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Provide post-installation follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and secure testimonials or referrals.
  • Utilize company-provided technology, such as tablets and proprietary software, to create a modern and efficient sales presentation experience.
  • Analyze personal sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and strategically plan for future success.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of available financing options and confidently present them to customers to facilitate their purchasing decisions.

Secondary Functions

  • Collaborate with the marketing team by providing real-world feedback on lead quality and customer insights from the field.
  • Participate in local home shows, community events, and trade shows to generate new leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Assist in mentoring and field-shadowing new Home Advisors to help them acclimate to the role and company culture.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range: 2-5+ years in a client-facing role.

Preferred:

  • Proven track record of success in an in-home, B2C, or other outside sales role with a defined sales quota.
  • Experience in industries such as home improvement, solar, telecommunications, security, real estate, or other direct-to-consumer services is highly desirable.
