Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct in-depth, in-home or virtual client consultations to thoroughly understand their lifestyle, design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
- Develop comprehensive and personalized design concepts, translating client needs and abstract ideas into cohesive visual plans and mood boards.
- Create detailed and accurate space plans and furniture layouts to optimize traffic flow, functionality, and the overall aesthetic of the environment.
- Source, select, and specify furniture, lighting, textiles, floor coverings, and accessories (FF&E) that align with the design concept and client's budget.
- Develop and present compelling design presentations to clients, effectively communicating the design intent and rationale behind every selection.
- Create and manage detailed project budgets, providing clients with clear cost estimates and tracking expenses meticulously throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the full procurement cycle, including generating proposals, placing orders with vendors, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery of all items.
- Coordinate and oversee the installation process, working closely with delivery teams, installers, and tradespeople to ensure flawless execution of the design plan.
- Execute the final styling and accessorizing of the space, adding the finishing touches that bring the entire design to life and create a "reveal-ready" moment.
