Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Execute comprehensive daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks throughout the residence to maintain a pristine, sanitary, and orderly environment.
- Perform meticulous cleaning of all rooms, including dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning fixtures, vacuuming carpets and rugs, and washing/mopping hard-surface floors.
- Sanitize and detail kitchens and bathrooms to the highest standards of hygiene, including cleaning all countertops, high-end appliances, sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs.
- Manage all aspects of household laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, expert ironing, steaming, folding, and properly storing clothing and linens.
- Provide specialized care for fine fabrics, delicate garments, and couture clothing, following specific care instructions meticulously.
- Change and launder bed linens regularly, making beds to a professional, hotel-quality standard.
- Maintain and organize closets, wardrobes, and drawers, ensuring they remain tidy and items are readily accessible.
- Monitor and manage a detailed inventory of all household cleaning supplies, toiletries, and pantry staples, creating shopping lists and restocking as needed.
- Handle the proper care, cleaning, and preservation of delicate surfaces such as marble, granite, hardwood, as well as fine art, antiques, and silver.
- Organize and maintain pantries, refrigerators, and storage areas, ensuring items are fresh, rotated (FIFO), and logically arranged.
- Prepare guest rooms to a five-star standard, ensuring they are immaculate and fully stocked for visitor arrivals.
- Manage household waste, composting, and recycling, ensuring bins are cleaned and put out for collection on the correct days.
Secondary Functions
- Run essential household errands, such as grocery shopping, post office runs, and picking up dry cleaning or prescriptions.
- Provide basic care for indoor plants, including watering and light pruning as necessary.
- Assist with pet care duties as requested, which may include feeding, walking, and cleaning up after household pets.
- Assist with light meal preparation, chopping vegetables, or preparing simple meals for the family as required.
- Polish silver, brass, and other metal fixtures and decorative items on a regular schedule.
