Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Serve as the initial point of contact for employees' HR-related questions and concerns, providing timely and accurate information regarding benefits, payroll, company policies, and procedures.
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including preparing and sending offer letters, initiating background checks, and ensuring all new hire paperwork (I-9, W-4, etc.) is completed and filed correctly.
- Facilitate engaging and informative new hire orientation sessions, ensuring a welcoming and seamless transition into the company for all new team members.
- Maintain and update employee data with impeccable accuracy within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), processing new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and other status changes.
- Actively participate in the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job descriptions on various platforms, screening resumes for qualifications, and scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Administer employee benefits programs, assisting with open enrollment, answering benefits-related questions, and processing qualifying life event changes.
- Coordinate the offboarding process for departing employees, including preparing separation paperwork, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring the return of company property.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations by assisting with compliance reporting and maintaining required documentation.
- Process and maintain documentation related to employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD, and LTD, ensuring compliance and clear communication with the employee.
- Assist with payroll processing by providing relevant employee data, such as new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes, to the payroll department in a timely manner.
- Respond to verification of employment requests and unemployment claims with accuracy and adherence to company policy.
- Generate standard and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and recruitment activity for management review.
Secondary Functions
- Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, company-wide events, and wellness programs to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Provide administrative support during the annual performance review and compensation cycles, including tracking completions and preparing documentation.
