Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Facilitate the end-to-end new hire onboarding process, including drafting and sending offer letters, initiating background checks, and ensuring all pre-employment paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct new employee orientation sessions, introducing company policies, culture, and values to create a welcoming and informative experience for new team members.
- Maintain and update employee records with meticulous accuracy in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), processing new hires, terminations, promotions, and other status changes.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing questions related to benefits, payroll, company policies, and other HR-related matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist the talent acquisition team by posting job openings on various career portals and job boards, and managing the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Coordinate and schedule phone, virtual, and in-person interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing complex calendars and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Manage the verification of I-9 documentation and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Support the benefits administration process, including assisting with open enrollment, answering employee benefit questions, and liaising with benefits brokers and vendors.
- Process and maintain all employee-related paperwork, such as FMLA, disability, and workers' compensation claims, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Handle offboarding logistics, including preparing termination paperwork, scheduling exit interviews, and processing final paychecks in accordance with state laws.
- Serve as a key resource for employees and managers, providing guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute internal communications regarding HR initiatives, policy updates, and company-wide announcements.
- Maintain organizational charts and employee directories to ensure they are current and accessible.
- Assist in the administration of employee performance review cycles, including tracking completion and filing documentation.
