Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualizing, developing, and executing complete visual identity systems for a diverse range of brands, from initial mood boards to final asset delivery.
  • Designing foundational brand elements, including logos, logotypes, marks, and lockups that are distinctive, memorable, and strategically sound.
  • Authoring, maintaining, and evolving comprehensive brand guidelines and style manuals that govern the use of logos, color palettes, typography, and imagery.
  • Translating brand strategy, positioning, and narrative into a powerful and cohesive visual language that resonates with target audiences.
  • Applying and extending the brand identity across a wide array of physical and digital touchpoints, including websites, mobile apps, social media, marketing collateral, packaging, and environmental graphics.
  • Presenting design concepts, strategic rationale, and creative solutions to internal stakeholders, clients, and executive leadership in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Conducting in-depth research and visual audits of competitive landscapes and market trends to inform and differentiate our brand's identity.
  • Collaborating closely with brand strategists, copywriters, UX/UI designers, and marketing teams to ensure a unified and consistent brand experience.
  • Leading the creative process for brand refresh and evolution projects, carefully updating existing identities to maintain relevance without sacrificing brand equity.
  • Creating bespoke visual assets, including custom icon sets, illustration styles, and typographic treatments that enrich the brand's visual toolkit.
  • Overseeing the design of key brand collateral, such as business systems, presentation templates, sales materials, and event branding.
  • Articulating and defending design decisions, grounding creative choices in strategic objectives and user-centric principles.
  • Exploring and developing motion design principles for the brand, defining how the identity moves and behaves in digital and video contexts.
  • Ensuring meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship in all design outputs, maintaining the highest standards of quality and brand consistency.
  • Managing multiple branding projects concurrently, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing timelines from initial brief to final launch.
  • Creating scalable design systems and asset libraries that empower other teams to create on-brand materials efficiently.

Secondary Functions

  • Mentoring junior designers and providing constructive feedback to foster creative growth and uphold design standards within the team.
  • Actively monitoring and researching emerging design trends, new technologies, and cultural shifts to ensure the brand's visual identity remains current and innovative.
  • Assisting with the art direction for photo and video shoots to ensure visual content aligns perfectly with the established brand identity.
  • Working with web developers and product teams to ensure the faithful and effective implementation of the brand identity on digital platforms.
  • Supporting marketing and communication teams by providing creative guidance and assets for specific campaigns and initiatives.
  • Contributing to naming and messaging workshops to ensure synergy between the verbal and visual aspects of the brand identity.
  • Managing and curating the digital asset management (DAM) system to ensure all brand assets are organized, current, and easily accessible.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, for both vector and raster-based design.
  • A sophisticated understanding of design fundamentals including typography, color theory, composition, hierarchy, and grid systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in logo design and the creation of comprehensive, scalable identity systems.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects to bring brand identities to life.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and how brand identity translates to digital products and experiences (Figma, Sketch experience is a plus).
  • Strong digital illustration skills and the ability to develop unique icon sets and visual motifs.
  • Experience with preparing files for both print production and digital deployment, understanding the technical requirements of each.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.
