Primary Functions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and engineers, to develop and train machine learning and computer vision models for automated image feature extraction.
  • Manage and maintain large-scale imagery databases, ensuring proper cataloging, archiving, and accessibility for ongoing and future analysis.
  • Perform temporal analysis by comparing historical and current imagery to detect and quantify changes, trends, and patterns over time for applications like environmental monitoring or urban planning.
  • Extract and digitize both vector and raster features from imagery to create geospatial data layers for use in GIS platforms like ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Provide expert support and consultation on imagery acquisition strategies, advising on optimal sensors, platforms, and collection parameters for specific project requirements.
  • Annotate and label vast datasets of images with high precision to create high-quality ground-truth data for training and validating artificial intelligence algorithms.
