Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Diligently monitor and regulate environmental conditions within incubators and hatchers, including temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and ventilation, to ensure optimal embryonic development.
Execute the transfer of eggs from setters to hatchers at the precise developmental stage, handling them with extreme care to prevent damage and stress.

Conduct comprehensive quality control checks on incoming eggs, evaluating shell quality, cleanliness, and size to ensure they meet stringent company standards.

Uphold and enforce strict biosecurity, sanitation, and hygiene protocols throughout the facility to prevent the introduction and spread of pathogens.
Meticulously document all incubation activities, including machine settings, egg transfer times, candling results, and hatch rates, in detailed logs and digital systems.
Assist in the post-hatch processing of chicks, which includes gentle handling, sexing, grading, counting, and preparing them for transport.
Administer vaccinations and other treatments to newly hatched chicks according to established schedules and veterinary protocols.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and environmental alarms promptly, taking corrective action to minimize impact on incubation cycles.
Manage the inventory of essential hatchery supplies, including cleaning agents, vaccines, egg trays, and chick boxes, and place orders as needed.

Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of all incubation equipment, hatcher baskets, and processing rooms between hatches.
Coordinate the receipt of hatching eggs from breeder farms and the dispatch of day-old chicks to grower farms, ensuring seamless logistics.
Collect biological samples (e.g., fluff samples, swabs) for laboratory analysis to monitor for environmental and flock health.
Participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
