Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Provide immediate, effective first aid and emergency care to employees for occupational injuries and illnesses, ensuring proper treatment protocols are followed and documented.
- Conduct thorough assessments of injured workers to determine the nature and extent of their injuries, and facilitate appropriate medical referrals when necessary.
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive case management plans for employees with work-related injuries or illnesses to ensure timely and appropriate care and facilitate a safe return to work.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the employee, management, and healthcare providers to coordinate treatment, return-to-work plans, and any necessary work restrictions.
- Administer and manage the company's occupational health programs, such as hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and bloodborne pathogen exposure control.
- Conduct pre-employment physical assessments and health screenings to ensure candidates are medically fit for the physical demands of their prospective roles.
- Perform and interpret various medical surveillance tests, including audiograms, spirometry, and vision screenings, as mandated by regulatory standards and company policy.
- Develop, promote, and lead employee wellness initiatives, including health fairs, vaccination clinics (e.g., flu shots), and educational campaigns on topics like nutrition, fitness, and stress management.
- Maintain precise, confidential, and legally compliant employee medical records in accordance with HIPAA, ADA, and other relevant privacy regulations.
- Meticulously document all patient care, workplace injuries, and illnesses, ensuring accurate completion of OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs and other required reports.
- Actively participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis for workplace accidents, providing medical insight to help prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations and job tasks, recommending modifications to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
- Provide employee counseling and education on health, safety, and wellness topics, empowering them to take an active role in their own well-being.
- Manage and maintain the inventory of medical supplies and equipment within the on-site clinic, ensuring everything is sterile, functional, and ready for use.
- Collaborate with the Safety and Human Resources departments to develop, review, and update health and safety policies and emergency response procedures.
- Administer and track the company's drug and alcohol testing program in a confidential and professional manner, adhering to all legal and policy guidelines.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH, CDC) to ensure the company's programs and practices remain in full compliance.

Minimum Education:
