Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) like average transaction value (ATV) and units per transaction (UPT).
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive store business plan that addresses sales, profitability, clienteling, and team development in alignment with company-wide objectives.
  • Act as the primary brand ambassador, embodying the brand's values and sharing its heritage and story with passion to create a memorable and luxurious client experience.
  • Cultivate a strong, loyal client base by personally leading and implementing sophisticated clienteling strategies, ensuring meaningful and personalized follow-up with new and existing high-value clients.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain a high-performing team of luxury sales professionals, providing continuous feedback, performance management, and career development guidance.
  • Meticulously manage all aspects of high-value inventory, including secure ordering, receiving, storage, daily counts, and annual audits, ensuring absolute accuracy and minimizing loss.
  • Oversee and perfect the store's visual merchandising, ensuring it consistently meets the brand's exacting standards and compellingly showcases the jewelry collections.
  • Assume full responsibility for the store's Profit & Loss (P&L), analyzing financial reports to identify opportunities for growth and cost control, and taking decisive action to improve profitability.
  • Ensure the highest level of operational excellence, including the strict implementation and enforcement of all security procedures for opening, closing, and handling of precious merchandise.
  • Foster a positive, motivational, and collaborative team environment, encouraging staff to work together to achieve common goals and deliver a unified, exceptional service.
  • Handle escalated client issues with grace, empathy, and professionalism, finding effective and elegant solutions that uphold the brand's reputation for quality and service.
  • Maintain an expert-level knowledge of all products, including the technical specifics of diamonds (the 4Cs), colored gemstones, precious metals, and brand-specific collections.
  • Conduct daily team briefings and regular store meetings to communicate sales goals, product knowledge updates, and key business information, ensuring the team is aligned and informed.
  • Oversee the entire customer journey, from the initial greeting to post-sale care and follow-up, ensuring a seamless, consistent, and elevated luxury experience at every single touchpoint.
  • Manage the detailed process for special orders, custom designs, and jewelry repairs, serving as the key liaison between discerning clients, designers, and master jewelers to guarantee satisfaction.

Secondary Functions

  • Plan and flawlessly execute exclusive in-store events, trunk shows, and client appreciation initiatives to drive store traffic and enhance brand loyalty.
  • Analyze sales data and local market trends to identify new business opportunities and provide strategic feedback to regional and corporate leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community partners, luxury hotel concierges, personal stylists, and event planners to create a robust network of referrals.
  • Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with legal standards, security protocols, and HR guidelines.
  • Manage store scheduling strategically to ensure optimal floor coverage based on traffic patterns and client appointments, while adhering to labor budgets.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Luxury Retail Management: Demonstrated success in managing a luxury retail environment with a focus on high-value products.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L statements, budget management, and retail financial metrics.
  • Inventory & Loss Prevention: Expertise in managing high-value inventory, cycle counts, and implementing stringent security and loss prevention protocols.
    -Clienteling & CRM Mastery: Proven ability to build a client book and proficiently use CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, proprietary systems) to manage client relationships.
  • Gemological Knowledge: Solid understanding of fine jewelry, including diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals. GIA certification is highly desirable.
  • POS & Retail Systems: Proficiency with modern Point of Sale (POS) systems and general retail operations software.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range: 5-7+ years of retail experience, with at least 3-4 years in a management or assistant management role.

Preferred: Experience specifically within the fine jewelry, watch, or high-end luxury goods sector is strongly preferred.
