Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive, one-on-one coaching sessions with clients from diverse industries and experience levels to prepare them for upcoming job interviews.
  • Develop personalized interview strategies tailored to specific roles, companies, and industries, ensuring clients are prepared for technical, behavioral, and situational questions.
  • Perform realistic mock interviews simulating various formats (phone screen, video, panel, case study) and provide in-depth, constructive feedback on performance, delivery, and content.
  • Coach clients on effectively articulating their career story, skills, and accomplishments using proven frameworks like STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
  • Provide expert guidance on crafting and optimizing professional documents, including resumes, cover letters, and thank-you notes to align with target job descriptions and pass through Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Assist clients in developing and refining their personal brand, including comprehensive LinkedIn profile reviews and strategies for online professional networking.
  • Empower clients with proven salary negotiation strategies, including market research, value articulation, and handling counteroffers to secure competitive compensation packages.
  • Stay current with emerging recruitment trends, hiring technologies, and industry-specific interview practices to provide relevant and up-to-date advice.
  • Create and maintain a repository of high-quality resources, including interview question banks, preparation guides, and industry-specific insights for client use.
  • Deliver engaging workshops, webinars, and group coaching sessions on various job search topics such as "Mastering Behavioral Interviews" or "Navigating a Career Change."
  • Research target companies, including their culture, values, and common interview processes, to provide clients with a competitive edge.
  • Help clients formulate insightful questions to ask interviewers, demonstrating their engagement, intelligence, and genuine interest in the role.
  • Provide post-interview debriefing sessions to analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, and strategize for next steps in the hiring process.
  • Offer emotional support and confidence-building encouragement to clients throughout the often-stressful job search journey.
  • Advise clients on professional etiquette for virtual and in-person interviews, including appropriate attire, virtual background setup, and follow-up communication.
  • Customize coaching approaches to meet the unique needs of clients, from recent graduates entering the workforce to senior executives seeking C-suite positions.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, tracking their progress, scheduling sessions, and maintaining detailed notes within a client relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Collaborate with a team of career professionals to share best practices, market intelligence, and innovative coaching techniques.
  • Develop and refine coaching curriculum and service offerings based on client feedback and market demand to ensure maximum effectiveness and client satisfaction.
  • Guide clients on how to effectively communicate career transitions, employment gaps, or other complex aspects of their work history.
  • Assess client career goals and provide strategic advice on targeting appropriate roles and companies that align with their skills and aspirations.
  • Train clients on how to effectively answer challenging questions related to weaknesses, failures, or reasons for leaving a previous job.
