Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Provide detailed, constructive feedback on resumes, cover letters, and professional portfolios to enhance their effectiveness and alignment with target job descriptions.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of LinkedIn profiles, offering actionable suggestions for optimization to increase visibility to recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Perform targeted job searches across various platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, niche job boards) to identify and source relevant opportunities that match client profiles and career goals.
  • Manage and maintain the calendars of senior coaches or clients, scheduling one-on-one sessions, mock interviews, and follow-up meetings.
  • Assist clients in preparing for interviews by conducting research on companies, compiling potential interview questions, and organizing logistical details.
  • Conduct one-on-one mock interview sessions, providing immediate feedback on communication style, answer structure, and overall presentation.
  • Develop and maintain a curated database of job leads, employer contacts, and industry-specific resources for client use.
  • Guide clients in crafting personalized job search strategies, including target company lists, networking approaches, and application tracking methods.
  • Track and document client progress, application submissions, interview stages, and job offers within a CRM or dedicated tracking system.
  • Maintain consistent and supportive communication with a caseload of job seekers, providing encouragement and accountability throughout their search.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of job search collateral, including resume templates, cover letter examples, and interview preparation guides.
  • Research and analyze industry trends, salary benchmarks, and in-demand skills to provide clients with up-to-date market intelligence.
  • Help clients prepare for salary negotiations by providing research data and practicing negotiation conversations.

Secondary Functions

  • Support senior staff in facilitating group workshops or webinars on topics such as resume writing, networking, and interviewing skills.
  • Manage and respond to inbound inquiries from prospective and current clients via email, phone, and social media platforms.
  • Perform administrative duties, including data entry, report generation, and client file maintenance, to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Proofread and edit a high volume of professional documents, ensuring impeccable grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Assist in networking with employers and alumni to uncover unadvertised job opportunities and build a robust referral network.
  • Administer and help interpret results from career assessment tools (e.g., Myers-Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory) under the supervision of a certified coach.
  • Compile and analyze key performance metrics, such as time-to-hire, application-to-interview ratios, and client satisfaction, to inform program improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis related to job market trends.
  • Contribute to the organization's content strategy by drafting blog posts or social media content related to career advice.
  • Participate in team meetings and strategic planning sessions, offering insights from the front lines of client interaction.
