Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Greet all customers with a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude to create a welcoming and positive atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
  • Expertly guide customers through our menu, offering personalized recommendations for juices, smoothies, and food items based on their preferences, dietary restrictions, and wellness goals.
  • Precisely and efficiently prepare a wide variety of beverages and food items, including fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, and açai bowls, while adhering strictly to proprietary recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial-grade blenders, juicers, and other kitchen equipment with proficiency and a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
  • Accurately process customer transactions using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card, and mobile payments with speed and precision.
  • Maintain a deep and current knowledge of all menu ingredients, including their nutritional benefits, potential allergens, and flavor profiles, to confidently answer customer questions.
  • Proactively engage with customers to build rapport and foster loyalty, turning first-time visitors into enthusiastic, regular patrons.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with a professional, calm, and solutions-oriented approach to ensure complete satisfaction and retention.
  • Skillfully upsell and cross-sell promotional items, nutritional add-ins, and retail products to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales targets.
  • Uphold an impeccable standard of cleanliness and organization at the front counter, beverage preparation stations, and customer seating areas at all times.
  • Diligently follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing techniques, temperature controls, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
  • Prepare and portion fresh fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients according to daily prep lists, focusing on minimizing waste and ensuring optimal freshness.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist with daily and weekly inventory management, including counting stock levels of produce, dry goods, and paper products, and communicating reorder needs to the management team.
  • Receive and properly store incoming supplier deliveries, meticulously checking for quality, verifying quantities against invoices, and implementing the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) rotation system.
  • Execute opening and closing duties as detailed in operational checklists, which includes cleaning and sanitizing equipment, restocking all supplies for the next shift, and securing the store.
  • Continuously monitor the quality and freshness of all produce and ingredients, rotating stock and responsibly discarding any items that do not meet our high standards.
  • Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with fellow team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, especially during high-volume peak hours.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions to stay informed about new products, evolving procedures, and company-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and high-energy team environment by demonstrating a can-do attitude and a willingness to assist colleagues whenever needed.
  • Perform routine cleaning and deep-cleaning tasks for all equipment, floors, restrooms, and surfaces to exceed health department standards and maintain store aesthetics.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • POS System Operation: Proficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for accurate order taking, payment processing, and end-of-day reporting.
  • Food & Beverage Preparation: Experience with commercial blenders, centrifugal/masticating juicers, and safe knife handling for fruit and vegetable preparation.
  • Cash Handling: Accuracy in managing a cash drawer, providing correct change, and processing various payment types securely.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations, temperature danger zones, and sanitation practices (ServSafe or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • Inventory Management: Basic ability to track stock levels, rotate inventory using the FIFO method, and assist with supply ordering.
  • Recipe Adherence: The discipline to follow detailed recipes and measurement instructions precisely to ensure product consistency and quality.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
