Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Expertly operate and monitor a variety of complex juice production machinery, including industrial blenders, pasteurizers, homogenizers, and high-speed filling/capping lines, ensuring continuous and efficient operation throughout the shift.
- Execute precise equipment setup, calibration, and changeovers between different product runs, recipes, or packaging formats, minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
- Serve as the first line of defense in quality control by conducting regular in-process checks on product attributes such as brix, acidity, temperature, and fill levels, and making necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
- Diligently maintain accurate and detailed production records and operational logs, meticulously documenting batch numbers, quantities produced, downtime, quality checks, and any deviations from the standard process.
- Strictly adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety protocols, and company policies to ensure the production of safe, quality food and maintain a clean and compliant work environment.
- Perform comprehensive Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sanitize-in-Place (SIP) procedures on all processing equipment, tanks, and lines, ensuring microbiological integrity and preventing cross-contamination.
- Actively troubleshoot minor to moderate equipment malfunctions and process issues, identifying root causes and performing basic adjustments or repairs to restore optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department by clearly communicating equipment issues, assisting in more complex repairs, and participating in preventative maintenance routines.
- Manage the flow of raw materials (like concentrates, purees, and sugar) and packaging supplies (bottles, caps, labels) to the line, ensuring all necessary components are available to prevent production interruptions.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to detailed batch sheets and recipes, ensuring the precise formulation for each specific product.
- Uphold and champion all workplace safety standards, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintaining situational awareness.
- Monitor a variety of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and control panels to oversee the entire process, interpret system alerts, and respond appropriately to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in the physical inventory counting of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products to support accurate inventory management.
- Ensure the final packaged product is correctly coded with date, time, and lot information, verifying the legibility and accuracy of all printed data.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the assigned work area, ensuring the production floor remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
