Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Execute the complete installation of new digital jukebox systems, which includes physically mounting the unit, running low-voltage wiring, connecting to audio systems, and configuring network settings for optimal performance.
  • Travel to customer locations within a designated territory to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide spectrum of complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues on-site.
  • Perform intricate electromechanical repairs, skillfully replacing key components such as motherboards, touch screens, power supplies, bill and credit card validators, and amplifiers.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks and system health audits to proactively identify potential issues and ensure the longevity and reliability of the equipment.
  • Manage and update the digital music libraries and operating software on jukeboxes, performing updates both remotely and in person to ensure content is fresh and security is maintained.
  • Calibrate and optimize venue audio systems, including multi-zone speaker setups and amplifiers, to deliver superior sound quality tailored to the specific acoustics of each location.
  • Provide clear and concise on-site training to venue staff, empowering them with the knowledge to operate the jukebox and perform basic troubleshooting steps.
  • Maintain a meticulous and up-to-date log of all service activities, including detailed notes on repairs, parts consumed, and time spent, utilizing a mobile work order management system.
  • Professionally manage a dedicated inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies within a company-provided service vehicle, ensuring readiness for a diverse range of repair scenarios.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to dispatched service requests, managing your schedule to meet or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs) and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Conduct the secure and accurate collection of revenue from the machines, following strict cash-handling and reconciliation procedures to ensure financial integrity.
  • Perform comprehensive site surveys for prospective installations, assessing factors like power availability, network infrastructure, physical space, and acoustic properties to ensure a successful deployment.
  • Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies, upholding a clean driving record.
  • Act as a frontline brand ambassador, resolving customer inquiries and complaints with a high degree of professionalism and a focus on building lasting client relationships.
  • Interpret complex technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics to effectively diagnose and resolve challenging technical faults.
  • Assemble, test, and refurbish jukeboxes and related amusement equipment within a workshop environment to prepare them for deployment.
  • Install and service peripheral equipment connected to the jukebox ecosystem, such as external speakers, promotional video screens, and integrated lighting systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote technical support and logistics teams to escalate unresolved issues and coordinate the timely shipment of necessary parts.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres strictly to company safety protocols and is compliant with local and national electrical codes and standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for system upgrades, additional services, or equipment enhancements at client locations to improve user experience and drive revenue growth.
  • Thoroughly test and verify all system functionalities after a repair or installation to confirm the issue is fully resolved before departing from the customer's site.
  • Maintain a professional and tidy appearance and work area while on-site, respecting the customer's environment and business operations.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis, such as pulling performance metrics for underperforming units.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap by providing field-level feedback on data collection and equipment monitoring tools.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Electromechanical Diagnostics: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical systems, combining mechanical components and electronic controls.
  • Low-Voltage Electronics: Strong foundational understanding of AC/DC circuits, component-level repair, and safe soldering/desoldering techniques.
  • Computer Hardware: Experience with PC hardware assembly and repair, including the replacement of motherboards, RAM, hard drives, and power supplies.

Educational Background
