Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Safely and efficiently lift, carry, and load a wide variety of items, including furniture, appliances, construction debris, and yard waste, often weighing 75-100 pounds or more, utilizing proper lifting techniques and teamwork.
- Operate a commercial vehicle (typically a 1-2 ton dump truck) in a safe, courteous, and law-abiding manner, adhering to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company-specific driving policies.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, meticulously checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and brakes to ensure roadworthiness and operational safety.
- Engage directly with residential and commercial clients upon arrival to provide friendly, transparent, and accurate on-site price estimates for junk removal services based on volume, item type, and truck space utilization.
- Clearly communicate the service process, pricing structure, and value proposition to clients, effectively answering questions and addressing concerns to secure job approval.
- Strategically and thoughtfully load items into the truck, maximizing space and ensuring safe transport by properly securing and arranging the load.
- Exercise extreme care and attention to detail when maneuvering items out of client properties to prevent any damage to walls, floors, doorways, and surrounding property.
