Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures for all phases of jury administration to ensure efficiency, fairness, and compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes.
- Oversee the entire juror summoning process, including the creation and maintenance of master jury wheels by merging and cleaning data from various source lists like voter registration and motor vehicle records.
- Manage the qualification, summoning, and deferral process for prospective jurors, meticulously reviewing and responding to requests for postponement, excusal, or disqualification based on established court rules.
- Supervise the daily operations of the jury assembly room, ensuring a professional, secure, informative, and comfortable environment for hundreds of reporting jurors.
- Coordinate the complex logistical needs for jury selection (voir dire), working closely with judges, judicial assistants, and attorneys to ensure a sufficient number of qualified jurors are available for all scheduled trials.
- Direct the check-in, orientation, and assignment of jurors to specific courtrooms, providing clear instructions and information regarding their service, duties, and courthouse facilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for jurors, addressing a high volume of inquiries, concerns, and complaints via phone, email, and in-person with tact, empathy, and professionalism.

- Monitor trial progress to anticipate juror needs, manage juror schedules, and coordinate with judges on juror release and dismissal.

Educational Background
