Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Travel to customer locations in a company-provided service vehicle to diagnose and repair the full range of KitchenAid major appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, and cooktops.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and sealed system issues.
- Perform high-quality, lasting repairs by replacing or recalibrating parts such as motors, heating elements, control boards, compressors, and water valves.
- Provide customers with clear, concise explanations of the diagnosed problem, the proposed solution, and an accurate estimate for the cost of repair.
- Educate customers on the proper use, care, and preventative maintenance of their KitchenAid appliances to enhance performance and longevity.
- Expertly manage and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies within the service vehicle to maximize the first-call completion rate.
- Complete all service call paperwork, including work orders, invoicing, and customer signatures, accurately and promptly using a mobile device or tablet.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service, ensuring a positive brand experience from arrival to departure.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper handling of refrigerants and electrical components.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and service manager regarding job status, parts needs, and any potential customer escalations.
- Perform sealed system repairs, including diagnosis, evacuation, charging, and component replacement, in compliance with EPA regulations.
- Install replacement appliances and provide customers with a comprehensive demonstration of features and functions.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills by participating in factory training on new KitchenAid products and technologies.
- Maintain the service vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe operating condition, including performing regular maintenance checks.
- Process customer payments in the field and ensure all financial transactions are handled securely and accurately.
