Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Travel to residential and commercial locations to perform delivery, assembly, and installation of a wide variety of kitchen appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, microwaves, and ventilation hoods.
- Perform pre-installation site inspections to verify that all necessary utilities (electrical, water, gas, ventilation) are present and conform to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Execute precise modifications to existing cabinetry, countertops, and other surfaces using saws, drills, and grinders to ensure a perfect, custom fit for new appliances.
- Safely unbox, move, and position heavy appliances using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring no damage to the customer's property, floors, or the appliance itself.
- Establish and secure all necessary connections, including running water lines for refrigerators and dishwashers, connecting gas lines for ranges and cooktops, and hardwiring or plugging in electrical components.
- Interpret and meticulously follow complex installation manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams provided by various appliance manufacturers.
- Test all installed appliances to ensure they are fully operational and functioning correctly, running diagnostic cycles and checking for leaks, proper heating, and secure connections.
- Provide a comprehensive and friendly walkthrough for the customer, demonstrating the basic features and functions of their newly installed appliances and answering any questions they may have.
- Troubleshoot and resolve unforeseen installation challenges on-site, such as non-standard plumbing, electrical issues, or space constraints, applying creative and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ensure all installation work meets or exceeds industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and all applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
- Perform detailed finish work, including sealing gaps, installing trim kits, and ensuring the final appearance is clean, professional, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Manage the logistics of each job, including communicating arrival times with customers and coordinating with other tradespeople on larger renovation projects.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the company with integrity and delivering an exceptional, white-glove customer experience.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices, to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and the customer.

- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training sessions to stay current with new appliance models, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Assist in loading and unloading appliances at the warehouse and properly securing them in the delivery vehicle for safe transport.
- Properly dispose of old appliances and all job-related debris, such as cardboard and packaging, leaving the customer's home cleaner than when you arrived.
- Provide valuable field feedback to management regarding product quality, common installation issues, or opportunities for process improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Appliance Installation Expertise: Proven ability to install a diverse range of kitchen appliances, including gas and electric models.
- Tool Proficiency: Mastery of a wide variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws (jig, circular), levels, multimeters, and pipe wrenches.
- Basic Plumbing: Knowledge of connecting water supply lines, drain lines, and gas lines, including experience with compression fittings and pipe threading.
