Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Actively engage with customers in-store, virtually, and by phone, utilizing a consultative approach to deeply understand their functional needs, lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and budget constraints for their kitchen project.
- Learn and achieve mastery of industry-standard 2D/3D kitchen design software (e.g., 2020 Design, ProKitchen) to create detailed, accurate, and visually compelling kitchen layouts and photorealistic renderings.
- Guide clients through the entire design journey, from inspirational brainstorming and initial concept development to material selection and final layout approval, ensuring a positive and collaborative experience.
- Conduct precise in-home or on-site consultations and measurements, capturing all critical dimensions and structural details to ensure design feasibility and a flawless installation.
- Develop and present comprehensive project proposals and design solutions to clients, clearly articulating the value and benefits of the recommended products and layout.
- Prepare detailed and accurate project quotations, including itemized lists for cabinetry, countertops, appliances, hardware, lighting, and accessories.
- Proactively maintain an in-depth, expert-level knowledge of the full range of kitchen products, including construction, materials, finishes, and the latest industry trends.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead qualification and follow-up to closing the sale and processing the order with exceptional accuracy.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer throughout their project, providing regular updates and ensuring a smooth flow of communication between the client, installers, and suppliers.
- Consistently strive to meet and exceed personal and team sales targets, conversion rates, and other established key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns or project-related issues with empathy and a sense of urgency, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained at every step.
- Translate customer needs and design concepts into technically sound plans that adhere to safety standards, ergonomic principles, and local building codes.
- Follow up diligently on all leads generated from web inquiries, showroom traffic, and referrals to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Secondary Functions
Assist in maintaining the visual appeal and organization of the kitchen showroom, ensuring displays are clean, current, and inspiring for prospective clients.
Actively participate in ongoing training sessions, team meetings, and vendor-led workshops to continuously enhance product knowledge and design skills.
Support Senior Designers on larger or more complex projects, assisting with drafting, product research, and client communication.
