Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and govern the enterprise-wide knowledge management strategy, aligning it with key business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Design, deploy, and administer knowledge management platforms and systems (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, enterprise wikis, and intranets).
- Establish and maintain the organization's information architecture, including the development and management of taxonomies, metadata schemas, and content structures.
- Lead the full lifecycle management of knowledge assets, from creation, validation, and publication to periodic review and archival.
- Champion and foster a culture of knowledge sharing by promoting best practices, facilitating communities of practice (CoPs), and recognizing contributions.
- Conduct regular needs assessments and gap analyses with various business units to identify critical knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and enforce content governance policies and standards to ensure all knowledge base articles are accurate, consistent, and easily accessible.
- Create and manage a robust content pipeline, curating and authoring key knowledge assets such as best practices, lessons learned, case studies, and standard operating procedures.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops to educate employees on KM tools, processes, and the value of knowledge sharing.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness, adoption, and business impact of KM initiatives, providing regular reports to leadership.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on knowledge management, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on the selection, implementation, or enhancement of knowledge management technologies and collaborative tools.
- Oversee the migration of content between systems, ensuring data integrity, minimal disruption, and improved user experience post-migration.
