Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety standards are met.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train laboratory staff, technicians, and interns.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all lab activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including ISO, OSHA, GLP, and GMP standards.
  • Manage laboratory budgets, procurement of reagents, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Schedule, assign, and prioritize laboratory tasks and research projects.
  • Monitor equipment performance, ensure calibration, and coordinate maintenance or repair services.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and laboratory activities.
  • Coordinate with research teams, production staff, and management to meet project goals.
  • Evaluate and improve laboratory workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
