Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Execute established molecular biology protocols, including DNA/RNA extraction, purification, quantification, and quality control.
- Perform polymerase chain reaction (PCR), quantitative PCR (qPCR), and reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) to amplify and quantify nucleic acid targets.
- Prepare and run agarose or polyacrylamide gels (SDS-PAGE) for the separation and visualization of DNA, RNA, or proteins.

- Maintain and propagate mammalian cell cultures using sterile aseptic techniques, including cell passaging, cryopreservation, and cell counting.
- Perform cell-based assays to assess cell viability, proliferation, apoptosis, or other functional responses to various treatments.
- Assist senior researchers in the design and optimization of new experimental procedures and assays.
- Meticulously document all experimental procedures, raw data, and observations in a detailed and organized electronic or physical laboratory notebook.
- Collect, organize, and perform preliminary analysis of experimental data using software such as Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism, or similar platforms.
