Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Perform comprehensive lawn care services, including precision mowing, string trimming around obstacles, and sharp edging along driveways, sidewalks, and garden beds.
Operate a variety of handheld and powered landscaping equipment safely and effectively, such as walk-behind mowers, zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, hedge clippers, pole saws, and leaf blowers.
Assist in the installation of new softscape elements, which includes planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and annual flowers according to detailed landscape designs and specifications.

Support hardscape construction projects by assisting with excavation, base preparation, and the precise laying of pavers, flagstone, or bricks for patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
Assist with the installation and basic maintenance of irrigation systems, including digging trenches, laying pipe, and replacing or adjusting sprinkler heads to ensure optimal water coverage.
Prune and trim small trees, hedges, and shrubs to improve their shape, promote healthy growth, and maintain their structural integrity, removing dead or diseased branches as directed.
Identify and control common weeds and invasive plants in lawns and garden beds through manual removal or the careful application of herbicides under the supervision of a licensed technician.
Load and unload tools, heavy equipment, and bulk materials like soil, mulch, and plants from company vehicles, ensuring all items are properly secured for safe transport to and from job sites.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including cleaning and performing routine checks on tools, equipment, and vehicles at the end of each workday.

Rake, level, and prepare soil for planting, ensuring the ground is properly conditioned to support new vegetation.
Transport and spread topsoil, compost, and other materials using wheelbarrows and other equipment across various terrains.
