Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Operate commercial-grade mowing equipment, such as zero-turn, walk-behind, and push mowers, to cut turf to specified heights and patterns, ensuring a uniform and professional appearance.
Perform detailed edging along flowerbeds, sidewalks, driveways, and curbs to create crisp, clean lines that define the landscape.
Utilize string trimmers and other power tools to meticulously trim grass and weeds in areas inaccessible to mowers, such as around trees, posts, and structures.
Apply granular and liquid fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides accurately and safely, following integrated pest management (IPM) principles and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct seasonal property clean-ups, which include the comprehensive removal of leaves, branches, and other organic debris from lawns and landscape beds.
Execute core aeration and dethatching procedures on turf areas to alleviate soil compaction, improve water and nutrient uptake, and promote a healthier root system.
Prune shrubs, hedges, and small trees using both manual and powered equipment to maintain their shape, encourage healthy growth, and remove dead or diseased branches.
Identify common turfgrass diseases, insect infestations, and weed varieties, and implement appropriate corrective treatments and management strategies.
Install new sod, overseed existing lawns, and apply topdressing to repair damaged areas and improve overall turf density and quality.
Monitor and perform basic maintenance on irrigation systems, including cleaning and adjusting sprinkler heads, identifying leaks, and programming controllers.
Plant annual and perennial flowers, shrubs, and trees according to landscape designs, ensuring proper spacing, depth, and soil preparation.
