Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Act as a role model and leader on the sales floor, consistently demonstrating advanced selling techniques and driving a positive, high-performance team culture.
- Drive and exceed individual and team sales goals through proactive customer engagement, expert product knowledge, and strategic upselling and cross-selling.
- Mentor, coach, and provide real-time feedback to sales associates to develop their selling skills, product knowledge, and confidence.
- Serve as the first point of contact for escalated customer issues, employing advanced problem-solving and negotiation skills to ensure a positive resolution and customer retention.
- Lead the daily sales floor operations, including staff positioning, break management, and task delegation to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
- Partner with store management to analyze sales performance reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify team and individual opportunities for growth.
- Conduct daily team huddles to communicate sales goals, promotions, new product arrivals, and other relevant business updates.
- Master all aspects of the Point of Sale (POS) system to efficiently and accurately process complex transactions, returns, exchanges, and customer orders.
- Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures, particularly concerning cash handling, loss prevention, and customer service standards.
- Build and nurture a loyal client base by proactively clienteling, capturing customer data, and maintaining ongoing relationships.
- Assist management in the recruitment and onboarding process for new sales associates, providing foundational training and support.
- Take ownership of opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, securing the premises, and preparing the store for the next business day.
Secondary Functions
- Support the execution of visual merchandising directives, ensuring the sales floor is consistently neat, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers.
- Assist in the management of store inventory, including receiving shipments, conducting cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies to prevent loss.
