Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead and mentor a team of UI designers, fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment while guiding their professional growth and skill development.
  • Establish, maintain, and evangelize a comprehensive design system, including component libraries, style guides, and interaction patterns to ensure visual consistency across all product surfaces.
  • Translate complex product requirements, user stories, and technical constraints into intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Act as the primary design stakeholder in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers to align on product vision and deliverables.
  • Confidently present and defend design concepts, prototypes, and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale and trade-offs.
  • Oversee the end-to-end UI design process for multiple projects, from initial concept exploration and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and final asset handoff to engineering.
  • Champion and enforce user-centered design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA) throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and critique sessions, providing clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to elevate the quality and consistency of the team's output.
  • Stay at the forefront of UI/UX trends, emerging technologies, and design tools, integrating best practices and innovative approaches into the team's workflow.
  • Define and choreograph sophisticated UI animations and micro-interactions that enhance user engagement and provide clear visual feedback.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs, providing necessary specifications and support to bridge the gap between design and code.
