Primary Functions

  • Conduct thorough, one-on-one consultations with clients to assess their skin condition, discuss their concerns and goals, and review their medical history and lifestyle factors.
  • Perform detailed skin analyses using visual examination, touch, and specialized equipment like Woods lamps or skin scanners to accurately identify skin types, conditions, and underlying issues.
  • Develop and document highly customized, long-term treatment plans and short-term service regimens designed to address specific client needs such as acne, hyperpigmentation, aging, or sensitivity.
  • Execute a diverse range of professional facial treatments, including deep-cleansing, European, hydrating, and anti-aging protocols, utilizing appropriate techniques and product formulations.
  • Administer advanced exfoliation treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and dermaplaning, ensuring client safety and comfort while achieving desired skin renewal.
  • Skillfully perform various methods of hair removal for the face and body, including soft and hard waxing techniques, while prioritizing client comfort and skin integrity.
  • Provide specialized body treatments, such as body wraps, scrubs, and moisturizing therapies, aimed at exfoliating, detoxifying, and hydrating the skin.
  • Act as a knowledgeable retail advisor, confidently recommending and selling professional-grade skincare products and tools that complement in-spa treatments and support clients' at-home care routines.
  • Educate clients extensively on proper skincare techniques, the benefits of recommended products, and the importance of a consistent home-care regimen to maintain and improve treatment results.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential, and up-to-date client records, documenting treatment details, product usage, skin reactions, and progress toward goals.
  • Adhere with unwavering diligence to all state, local, and company sanitation, sterilization, and safety standards, ensuring all tools, equipment, and treatment areas are impeccably clean and disinfected.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of professional esthetic equipment, including steamers, high-frequency machines, galvanic current devices, LED therapy panels, and microcurrent technology.
  • Stay current with the latest industry trends, ingredient research, new treatment modalities, and evolving skincare technologies through continuous education, workshops, and trade publications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client rapport, creating a welcoming, relaxing, and trustworthy environment that encourages repeat business and referrals.
  • Manage treatment-related discomfort or adverse reactions with a calm, professional demeanor, applying appropriate post-treatment care and providing clear instructions to the client.
  • Perform extractions of comedones and milia using proper, sanitary techniques to minimize skin trauma and the risk of infection.
  • Apply specialized masks, serums, and ampoules based on a deep understanding of cosmetic ingredients and their specific benefits for different skin concerns.
  • Conduct patch tests for new clients or before applying potentially sensitizing products or treatments to prevent adverse allergic reactions.
