Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design, plan, and engineer lighting systems for architectural, outdoor, industrial, theatrical, and commercial environments to meet functional and aesthetic criteria.
- Conduct photometric calculations, simulations and technical modeling using specialized software such as DIALux, AGi32, Relux, AutoCAD and Revit.
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures, power sources, controls and accessories based on project requirements, sustainability goals and energy codes.

- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, electrical engineers and construction teams to integrate lighting design into overall project plans.

- Prepare cost estimates, material specifications, schedules and budgets for lighting systems within broader project constraints.
- Oversee installation processes and provide on‑site supervision during lighting system implementation to ensure quality and design integrity.
- Perform rigorous testing, commissioning and sequence implementation of lighting systems and controls to validate performance and functionality.
- Troubleshoot field issues, diagnose lighting system malfunctions and provide corrective actions for optimal performance.
