Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all building systems, machinery, and production equipment to maximize uptime and asset longevity.
- Formulate and manage the annual maintenance department budget, including operational expenses, capital expenditures, and labor costs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and delivering detailed financial reporting.

- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance department, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and schedule compliance.
- Lead the organization’s response to facility and equipment emergencies, developing and maintaining comprehensive emergency action plans and ensuring staff are trained for rapid response.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers, vendors, and contractors, holding them accountable for quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety standards.
- Champion and implement continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

- Serve as the primary technical advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to facility infrastructure, equipment reliability, and maintenance operations.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with other department heads, including Production, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources, to ensure maintenance activities support overall business objectives.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all building grounds, structural components, and utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
