Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive organizational studies and evaluations, designing systems and procedures, and performing work simplification and measurement studies to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyze and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data to assess business performance, identify underlying issues, and generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Gather and organize information on problems or procedures, including interviewing personnel and conducting on-site observations, to determine the root causes of organizational or procedural inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement detailed data collection methods, such as surveys, interviews, and workshops, to support business analysis and the development of robust solutions.
  • Formulate and present clear, persuasive, and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders regarding business process improvements, strategic direction, and operational changes.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, presentations, and procedural manuals that document findings, analyze alternatives, and provide a clear roadmap for implementation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and workshops to brainstorm solutions, define project requirements, and build consensus among stakeholders with diverse interests.
  • Create detailed financial models and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes and support investment decisions.
  • Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance measurement systems to monitor the effectiveness of new strategies and initiatives post-implementation.
  • Manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously, from initial scoping and planning through to execution, monitoring, and final reporting, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Identify and assess the risks associated with existing and proposed operational procedures, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to specify business requirements for new systems or reporting dashboards that support analytical needs and operational monitoring.
  • Advise management on the effective allocation and utilization of personnel, technology, and financial resources to maximize organizational effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in management, operations, and data analysis to provide innovative and forward-thinking solutions.
  • Lead change management initiatives, developing communication plans and training materials to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems by employees.
  • Review and analyze organizational structures, departmental responsibilities, and staff assignments to identify opportunities for realignment and improved workflow.
  • Define clear project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to benchmark the organization's performance and identify external threats and opportunities.
  • Evaluate the impact of new legislation, regulations, and economic trends on the organization and recommend appropriate responses.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; expertise in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik for creating insightful dashboards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel: Mastery of advanced functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, index-match, macros, and financial modeling.
  • Process Mapping & Modeling: Experience with business process modeling notation (BPMN) and tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar software.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Ability to build financial models, perform cost-benefit analysis, and evaluate ROI for proposed projects.
