Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Lead the comprehensive annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles, collaborating with department heads to develop challenging but achievable financial plans.
  • Develop and present insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation and consolidation.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Oversee daily treasury and cash management functions, including optimizing cash flow, managing banking relationships, and forecasting short-term and long-term cash needs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, managing the annual audit process and ensuring all required documentation and support are provided.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains to scale the finance function.
  • Mentor, train, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, professional growth, and collaborative partnership with the business.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling financial presentations and dashboards for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes, ensuring operational effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Develop complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, such as new business ventures, capital expenditure decisions, and potential M&A activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and reporting requirements, coordinating with external tax advisors as necessary.
